Itinerary

DAY 1:Cusco – Mollepata – Soraypampa – Laguna Humantay – Cusco

Our tour to the Humantay Lagoon will start with a hotel pick up between 4.30am and 5.00am, and then we will travel by shuttle to the Mollepata district (approximately 2 hours). Upon arrival in this small and picturesque town, we will have an American breakfast and free time to use the toilets, purchase sports drinks and snacks. We then continue our journey for another hour to Soraypampa at 3,900 metres above sea level (the starting point of our trek).

Our adventure begins with a panoramic view of the Salkantay and Humantay peaks. There our guide will give us a brief description of the trek, along with recommendations and directions before we begin the ascent. Once we are ready, we will start our journey to the Humantay Lagoon, located at 4,300 metres. After about an hour and a half of climbing, we will be able to appreciate the magical lagoon at the foot of Humantay. Once there, our guide will explain everything we need to know, and of course we’ll have free time to take pictures, enjoy and explore the shores of the turquoise lagoon.

After enjoying the majesty of this place, we’ll return to our vehicle waiting for us in Soraypampa and then drive back to the town of Mollepata, where lunch awaits us. Finally, we’ll return to the city of Cusco and end the tour at around 17:00.
