Rainbow Mountain, known locally as Vinicunca, offers one of the most stunning and unique landscapes in the Peruvian Andes. Famous for its vibrant rainbow-like colours, you can experience this natural wonder in a single day. Itinerary

DAY 1:Cusco - Cusipata - Rainbow Mountain - Red Valley - Cusco

Early pick-up: our team will pick you up at your hotel between 4:30 and 5:00. Alternatively, you can choose to meet us directly at our office at 5:00.
Departure from Cusco: after gathering all participants, we will leave Cusco around 5:15 am to travel two hours to the village of Cusipata.
Breakfast in Cusipata: upon arrival, you will enjoy a nutritious breakfast at a local restaurant and have time to relax.
Drive to the entrance point: we will continue by vehicle for another hour to the entrance point of Rainbow Mountain, where you will have to pay an entrance fee of 30 soles.
Hike to Rainbow Mountain: from the control point, we will begin the hike. It lasts approximately an hour and a half to the summit, ascending gradually from 4700 m to 5100 m. At the summit, you will have time to take pictures, listen to the guide’s explanations and interact with the local people. You will be approximately one hour at the summit.
Option: Red Valley. After enjoying the views, the excursion continues to the Red Valley. The entrance fee here is an additional 20 soles. Alternatively, you can choose to return the same way you ascended. The return hike through the Red Valley takes between one and one and a half hours to the meeting point with the vehicle.
Lunch in Cusipata: when everyone is back in the vehicle, we will return to Cusipata for a buffet lunch around 1:30 pm.

Return to Cusco: After lunch we will begin the approximately two hour drive back to Cusco, arriving between 4:30 and 5:00 pm.

The tour lasts approximately 6 hours. It starts early in the morning with pickup from your hotel and ends around 12:00 PM or 6:00 PM if you choose the afternoon schedule, both in the city of Cusco.

We use vans as comfortable and safe vehicles suitable for tourist excursions, with a capacity of up to 18 seats, to provide a comfortable experience during the ride. If you prefer a private tour, there are more vehicle options available according to your comfort.

The number of people on the group tour is generally up to 17 people, though this number may occasionally be reduced.
